Companion Animal of the Month - October 2005

Max Mixon is 16 years old.  He was born in San Diego, California where he spent most of his life.  He has also lived in Maryland and gone as far as Guam.  He now resides in Ormond by the Sea, enjoying the golden years with his human mom and dad. 

Max has Diabetes Mellitus and receives insulin injections twice daily at home.  Max is extremely tolerant of these treatments at home and frequent blood tests at our hospital.  It's almost as if he knows that everyone is trying to help him.

Max, we feel honored and privileged to know you.  You are an amazing kitty.  All the cats in the world should aspire to be as nice and you.  Mr. and Mrs. Mixon, you set a prime example of what the human-animal bond should signify.  We are proud to have Max as our first ever "Companion Animal of the Month".
