2008 PAST NEWS AND EVENTS

May 4-10, 2008: Companion animals have profound affects on the lives of their human owners. They provide us with love, endless hours of companionship, and wonderful relationships that help fill our lives. National Pet Week is a celebration of those relationships.

We are offering 10% off 6 packs and 20% of 12 packs of heartworm and flea/tick products in recognition of this important week. Click here to learn more about National Pet Week.

April 26, 2008: The Atlantic Animal Hospital team is proud to support local humane societies by participating in fundraising events. In a recent fundraising effort, the Flagler Humane Society hosted "A walk for the Animals." Read more…

April 18-19, 2008: The team at Atlantic Animal Hospital is proud to participate in the local "Relay for Life" sponsored by the American Cancer Society (ACS). This will be our second year in the relay and this time our theme is "Get a leash on cancer". Even if you are unable to attend, you can support the cause by purchasing a dog leash at our hospital. All of the proceeds will be donated directly to the ACS. Cancer affects all living beings and the research to find a cure benefits all creatures, whether two- or four-legged! Click here to read more and come join us at the relay.

March 2008: We are proud to be one of the first veterinary hospitals in the area to offer a mixed breed analysis via blood testing. The Wisdom Panel™ MX uses specific DNA markers to help determine the breeds present in the family history of a mixed breed dog. This information can help our clients and veterinarians learn more about the behavior and medical traits of a mixed breed dog, and can be extremely valuable in the long term care of the canine companion animal. Attaining a sample for the test only takes a few minutes. Click here to make an appointment for your canine companion.

February 9, 2008: The Daytona Beach News Journal wrote an article discussing how animal hospitals, like ours, are participating in the National K9 Weight Check campaign to raise awareness on canine obesity. Click here to read more about canine obesity.

February 1, 2008: Come celebrate and help raise awareness of canine and feline dental disease and canine obesity. The American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS) reports that 70% of cats and 80% of dogs have signification dental disease by the age of three. We are offering several promotions this month to help reduce this number and thereby prevent more detrimental secondary diseases. Read more?

February 1, 2008: Canine obesity is on the rise nationally and leading to severe health problems similar to the ones caused by human obesity. We are one of a handful of veterinary hospitals leading the way to help manage this issue by raising awareness. We are offering free weight checks and mail in certificates for free blankets in return for your time. Please call us now to schedule a FREE weight check and analysis for your canine companion.
