Choosing the Perfect Insurance and Policy

One of the most frustrating things you will find in trying to determine which pet insurance provider to go with is that it is impossible to get a company to company comparison, as they each operate differently and all offer different types of policies. It is especially challenging given the confusing nature of insurance. The provider you choose is very important, and it’s essential that you to make an educated decision. Be sure to spend time researching your options. Don’t hesitate to contact the insurance company, if you need additional information on selecting the best plan for your companion animal. If available, you may want to discussed the various options with your financial planner and/or accountant.

How a Pet Insurance Policy Works

Most pet insurance policies reimburse you for your pet’s covered veterinary expenses after the procedures are completed. You generally receive this reimbursement by filling out a claim form and sending it to the insurance company, along with your receipts for the care provided. Atlantic Animal Hospital does not directly deal with or accept claims from insurance companies. Full payment for services is due upon completion. We will gladly complete any insurance forms that you provide so that you may receive reimbursement from your companion animal’s insurance company.
