Kaleia Corbin has been a proud member of the Atlantic Animal Hospital team as a veterinary assistant since January 2007 and was recently named Lead Veterinary Technician in October of 2009. Kaleia was born in Portsmouth, Virginia but has lived in Volusia County for 12 years. While her educational background is in biology, she obtained a CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) license in June 2009. Kaleia also recently completed her Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology from St. Petersburg College in May 2010. Needless to say, Kaleia has dedicated her life to working with animals. She states, "There is no greater experience than saving an animal's life."
When not caring for animals here at Atlantic Animal Hospital, Kaleia and her husband Chris are caring for their six companions at home. Their four legged family includes four felines, Ice, Ghost, Safrin and Rain, all of which she rescued, and her two canine companions, Rogue, a three year old Rottweiler, and Phoenix, a three year old Rottweiler/Golden Retriever Mix (a Golden Rottie). In her spare time, Kaleia enjoys reading, shopping, spending time with family and friends and taking Phoenix and Rogue to the dog park.
